There is a difference between bringing them out at the end of a speech and involving them as an element in the political machine, using them to craft your persona. If you contrast Obama's behavior with the recent presidential campaigns of Bush (2) and Clinton, they never so flagrantly used their daughters to gain esteem from voters.
