When you first sign up for your network marketing program, you are led to believe that the path to success is very simple and you will soon be rich and financially free if you follow the teachings and guidance of your uplines. However, as you start to get more involved and work the business, you realize that a great percentage of your so-called ‘new business partners’ will not bother to do anything and slip into oblivion. Only about 20% will get around to doing something. However out of this number, many will give up after they fail to see results or because they move on to other commitments.

Why is the success rate in network marketing so low? If it is as simple as it is made out to be, why do so many fail? Does that mean that these people are not cut out for the network marketing industry?

In this world and with the current economic situation, many people have big dreams and yearn to get out of the rat race and achieve financial freedom. However their ‘WHY’ is not strong enough or they may not have a distinctly clear ‘WHY’. They also do not know the ‘HOW’ to go about achieving their dream. As such, their dream remains forever a fantasy and never comes to fruition.

In order to succeed in this industry, your ‘WHY’ must be something that truly inspires you, something that will push you to do whatever it takes to accomplish your dreams, your goals and your desires.

In order to have a blueprint for success, you must be very clear as to WHY you are in network marketing. What is your reason for joining network marketing? What do you wish to get out of it? If you do not achieve success, how will it affect you? Why is it important for you to achieve your dream?

As Donald Trump himself put it, “If you are going to think, you might as well think big.” Since you are already thinking, you might as well think big and achieve big.

If you do not have a passion for what you are doing and are unclear about your WHY, you will not be able to handle and overcome any challenges that you will encounter along the way. Having no great desire and commitment to succeed, you will be the next in line to drop out and add to the already high statistics.

Knowing your WHY alone is insufficient for you to see immediate success. You will need to put forward your action plan Here you will break it down into a more manageable time frame as in per day, per week and per year. Have a short term as well as a long term goal. With a proper road map, you can more easily achieve your goals, your dreams and your vision for your life.

Your personal action plan should include self development as well as training and, last but not least, prospecting which is the lifeblood of any network marketing business. Reading motivational books will help you get charged up and is a great asset when it comes to growing your organisation. If you are new to network marketing industry, you will need to be trained. Once you have your downlines, you will need to start training and coaching them. Most network marketers spend so much time on training that they simply forget to prospect. Failure to prospect leads to sure failure.

By abiding and following your action plan closely, your network marketing business will start to bloom. Remember not to rely too much on your uplines or downlines as this can hurt your business. Build your own business although you are not in this business by yourself.

Adhere to your action plan. If you drop behind, make an effort to catch up. Just because you started your network marketing business with a small capital is not reason for you to take things slow. Be focused and committed to success!

When you tell people that you’re involved with a Network Marketing company, many will respond with things they’ve heard.  You might have people say, “Is this one of those pyramid schemes?” or “Is that one of those get rich quick things?”  There are many myths about the Network Marketing industry.  Here are four common myths debunked.

Myth:  Network Marketing is a pyramid scheme.

Network Marketing, or MLM, is different than a pyramid scheme.  Network Marketing is a business model that moves products or services and compensates distributors for product or services moved through their network.  It is completely legal.

A pyramid scheme, on the other hand, does not involve moving products.  A pyramid scheme involves paying money to be involved and receiving money from those you recruit.  No goods or services are received when people are involved in a pyramid scheme.  Pyramid schemes are illegal.

Myth:  Network Marketing is a way to get rich quick.

Network Marketers can and do get rich…the industry is full of rags to riches stories!  However, most people who become successful Network Marketers do not get rich overnight.  It takes hard work and dedication in order to become a successful Network Marketer.

Myth:  Most people fail in Network Marketing.

Many people join Network Marketing companies every day.  Unfortunately, not everyone who joins a Network Marketing company will become a successful Network Marketer.

The fact is, most people quit before they ever become successful.  They don’t put forth the effort and invest the time necessary to become successful Network Marketers.  There is a difference between quitting and failing.  The fact that many people quit doesn’t mean that Network Marketing doesn’t work.  It does work…but not everyone is committed to reaching the top.

3. Breakage/Break away several of the most popular programs out there use this one. Imagine after all your hard work you miss your quota for the month only to have all your hard work building an organization disappear.

Most compensation plans fall into binary, breakaway, matrix, stair-step or uni-level plan but there are other plans out there as well.

Some of these binary plans have different levels of depth that you can build your organisation or team. There are some companies that have legs in which you place your team or distributors. Some MLM companies pay distributors on the weakest leg. The company earning its commission on the strongest leg. I have heard of distributors who have lots of people in the strong leg but may stuggle to build the weakest leg. As a consequence they have less people in their weak leg. This can mean doing a lot of work for little compensation.

The difficult problem that so many people in MLM they do not get given the right information about compensation plans. Or have little or no knowledge about the company and its terms, conditions and the products. There is a “mindset group” that has open membership that offers training, mentoring and support for free. This group in its training will show you different companies and with how binary plans work. They will give you the information to make a choice on which company pays the best compensation to you.

The majority of people in MLM start off on a part time basis. Usually they take on a home base opportunity to increase the household income. Surely one will want the best income possible. Everybody knows that when undertaking something like a home base business good advice is essential. Most people who try network marketing often end up spending lots of unecessary money.

The purpose of this article is to confirm network marketing is a wonderful opportunity. However, most people succeed in MLM who improve their skills sets, use the best methods and who have supportive mentoring. The great thing about this “mindset group” is that it does not charge you. They will be there as your foundation to give you the building blocks you need to succeed in finding the best compensation plan and the right opporutunity for you.
